Adult Day Care provides care and supervision outside the home to elderly people who have physical or mental limitations.  In a typical program, your loved one would be picked up by a van in the morning and taken to the center where they are fed and cared for by a trained staff, then returned home in the late afternoon.

At the center, your loved one will meet friends, listen to music, have a hot lunch, go for a walk and possibly receive some medical attention.

What's also important, is that the caregiver gets a break from the work and stress of daily care.  The caregiver has time to recoup and re-gather the love and patience it requires to care for a loved one.
